Oh my, how beautiful the snow is <br />I’m wearing my winter mittens <br />But I always slip on dark glasses <br />In sunshine as it brightly glistens <br /> <br />It coats the world around us <br />We’re transported once again <br />Our footprints crunch in deeply <br />We look back to where we’ve been <br /> <br />The lakes have an extra beauty <br />For they are encircled in white <br />We can almost hear Christmas bells <br />It’s winter’s lovely sweet delight <br /> <br />And I’ve noticed too how the cold <br />Is different at places I’ve roamed <br />There is dry cold in some states <br />While others soak to the bones <br /> <br />But whatever kind of snow falls <br />At the home where you reside <br />I’ll bet Mother Nature smiles <br />For it must inflate her pride!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/christmas-snow-2/
