Outside the swaying trees - <br />Are melted by the Orange Moon, <br />And a silver fish, thin as Autumn leaves, <br />Swims through the palm of my hand <br /> ...At Noon... <br />The moments are in the second hand only - <br />As Cherry coloured birds fly through Black Trees - <br />And a ticket stub, i carry from Mars - <br />Is scrunched up, with my house keys; <br /> <br />I compare this moment, to the Doe, standing near, <br />To the White Rock... <br />And to my attempting, to turn the brass knob; <br />While in the background, an engine purrs, <br /> ...Like a cat... <br /> ...'cross a frozen lake... <br /> ...And in sheer desperation... <br /> ...I Sob...! ! ! ! <br />Is this Real or Surreal? <br />Have i left, Realities Stage? <br />Am, i in Neverland now, because you are gone? <br />Or am i, fettered, in torments cage? <br /> <br />What we had, was bigger than Fort Knox - <br />The Gold, not even holding a candle to, <br />The brillance, of your own shooting star, <br /> ...So much given... <br />That it eclipsed, the Moon and its 'Blue On Blue'<br /><br />Theodora (Theo) Onken<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-once-in-blue-moon-love/
