Gas prices are killing me, <br />taking so much of my pay; <br />So I can have just the basics, <br />like getting to work each day. <br />Forget about taking a vacation, <br />or traveling the open sea; <br />At $3.25 a gallon, <br />home is where I'll have to be. <br />Why dos'nt our goverment do something? <br />like stand up for what is right; <br />Stop letting the OPEC contries, <br />Place oil prices out of sight. <br />Set a price thats fair, <br />refuse to pay anymore; <br />If they dont like our price, <br />their oil they can store. <br />We need to explore more options, <br />and look to the future with care; <br />We need to find alernate energies, <br />that our planet can bare. <br />In turn we could tell these nations, <br />we no longer need you goodbye; <br />We've found a way to be self supporting, <br />And your oil we'll no longer buy. <br />.<br /><br />Dwayne Bailey<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/gas-prices-are-killing-me/
