he said he was doing it for our relationship and I wondered aloud <br />what relationship, there's nothing <br />but he just looked at me with his bland oatmeal eyes and asked <br />why i did not love him like he loved me <br />i screamed in frustration but the sound got lost in the keys <br />so i tried again and again and once more <br />before he saw and too screamed at my harsh words <br />concrete with a stubborn frustration caused by his silly questions <br />and requests to a meaningfull (less) relationship <br />he begged with his eyes closed and small mouth pleading <br />for the mercy of a girl with spectacular assets and a sharp mind <br />to take him home and pet him <br />but i stand at the monitor and laugh, a hurt laugh <br />to be asked to be walked on is not easy and harder still to forget <br />but he doesn't know nearly enough to stop his berating sentances <br />and take a look at the reality glaring him in the face <br />what do i say to such a fool raised on dim lights and forgiving parents <br />who feels that his luck is running from a tree made of money and smiles <br />and shrugs away the wind of oppurtunity for the seas of easy living? <br />(or so he would think) <br />he asks me for a chance, voiceless and pitiful <br />on his electronic knees with a hopeful wink and not much else <br />i try not to laugh but it explodes out of me, cynical and bitter <br />as i hit send to yet another email i wonder when they will find the cure <br />to this disease called Stupid <br />because the day they do is the day i will fly into his arms <br />to be sure<br /><br />Fallen Too Far<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/he-s-contaminated-with-the-pandemic-called-stupid/
