They say about getting high <br />after having a drink too many. <br />I managed to get high <br />without participating in a drop. <br />I had a bad back, muscles twisted. <br />The meds they put me on <br />cured my back Ok, <br />but made me drunk as a skunk. <br />I staggered around the house, <br />my speech became slurred <br />and that was without even taking a drink, <br />unless spiked my water <br />without me knowing about it. <br />I had to use my walking stick <br />to stop me falling over. <br />Have stopped taking the meds, <br />I hope there is no hangover attached, <br />but we’ll just have to wait and see. <br /> <br /> <br />7 January 2008<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/drunk-without-a-drink/
