Songbirds fly and songbirds sing <br />Such a sense of joy they bring, <br />The day is new <br />The sky is blue <br />Rising sun of morning fair, <br />Shines the light that shines so bright <br />Nature wakes and ends the night <br />I greet the dawn <br />And feel reborn <br />And happiness is everywhere. <br /> <br />Songbirds sing and songbirds soar <br />As mist does drift across the moor, <br />The ghostly hills <br />The eerie chills <br />Gently warm as shadows cry, <br />Colours grey now colours hue <br />Sunlight now is shining through, <br />And so it clears <br />And dewy tears <br />Do slowly start to fade and dry. <br /> <br />Songbirds fly and songbirds call <br />Within the trees that rise and fall, <br />Sweet air I breathe <br />While colours weave <br />Their way inside such harmony, <br />Willows grow and willows weep <br />Beside the pastures that do sleep, <br />Cool waters flow <br />And breezes blow <br />Across the land so wild and free.<br /><br />ANDREW BLAKEMORE<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/songbirds/
