when the first time we met.. <br />at each other we just stared... <br />we quietly sat on the corners of the bench <br />the bench.........that we shared.... <br /> <br />it was our first day in school <br />everything around was completely new.... <br />everyone seemed to be scared & afraid <br />that included me & you... <br /> <br />slowly slwoly days passed by....... <br />but we still started & ended with a HI! <br />i wanted to talk...i wanted to play <br />but with whom was the question in my way... <br /> <br />i was in need of an eraser one day <br />in my pencilbox which was missing <br />without me asking you for it <br />you slowly pushed your eraser towards me <br /> <br />i immediately looked up at you <br />i wondered what this could be <br />you blinked your eyes and gave a smile <br />which said 'I am there whenever u need me' <br /> <br />i felt so secured... <br />no longer i felt alone <br />i could feel something was binding us <br />i could feel the magic around.... <br /> <br />we no longer sat on the corners of the bench <br />we had endless talks between a HI & a BYE! ! <br />i now had someone to talk, play & share <br />i now had a friend, on whom i could rely... <br /> <br />you laughed with me... <br />you made me smile <br />and whenever i was in tears <br />you stood by my side... <br /> <br />thankyou for being around <br />your presence is something i wud always like to see <br />thankyou for being a friend <br />your friendship means a lot to me...<br /><br />kavita bhat<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/friendship-115/
