Our brow is stained with sadness <br />and we begin to wonder <br />did we leap before we looked <br />when love gave us the call. <br />The road ahead may be rocky, <br />but we say we can persevere. <br />Again, we begin to wonder <br />whether our decisions were the right ones <br />when we made our judgement call. <br />Then more doubts cloud our mind, <br />are we going down a road <br />we’ve gone down once before. <br />A road that leads to nowhere. <br />The more we question <br />the less we do <br />to turn our life around <br />and all we do is add more stains <br />to our sadness stained brow. <br /> <br /> <br />23 January 2008<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/stained-with-sadness/
