Today I heard a song <br />that whispered through the trees <br />and was shouted by the breeze. <br />It was an enchanting song <br />of which no words <br />would ever fit. <br />If they did, <br />they would only spoil it. <br />The song had a title <br />and the title was simply silence. <br />So in the morning hours <br />I sat and listened for a while <br />refreshing my senses <br />with its rhapsody <br />in the morning <br />not far from me. <br /> <br />22 January 2008<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/silence-161/
