Waves of shame and anger <br />Wash the shoreline of my brain <br />Whilst my mind looks on so helpless <br />at the humiliation <br />that makes up the wide black ocean <br />of that ebony emotion <br />where I drown whilst saturated <br />in my numbing potion that I deign <br />to drink. <br /> <br />The Tsunami of my past <br />rushes up to greet me <br />And I am powerless to conquer <br />The depressing thoughts that meet me <br />In the darkness of my skull, <br />to make a Civil War inside my brain. <br />That I can't win. <br />And though I am a loser <br />'til the game of life is over. <br />When it's over, I will be at peace <br />with no more pain.<br /><br />Fred Babbin<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/here-we-go-again-10/
