When she was 15 I was concieved <br />AN ACCIDENT <br />The day she turned 16 I was born, not a joyous day <br />17 I was that stone wall blocking her dreams <br />18 I learned how to piss she was pissed she had a 2year old <br />no more hangin out wit her people <br />cuz I was alive, an accident <br />19 my brother was conceived <br />20 jan.17th Devon was born <br />Another baby to care for, but I had needs <br />22 Dionne, my sister was concieved <br />23 feb.21st Dionne was born, no one cared for me anymore <br />I just din't no it yet <br />24 Jordan was concieved <br />25 my brother jordan was born, they pushed me out the door <br />26 mommy doesn't listen anymore <br />27 IDK cuz I was barely in the page <br />28 Mommy tells me she loves me <br />29 That's when I turned 13, mommy found out I had a boyfriend <br />Mommy says she lives me so don't have sex <br />Cause I was born early, <br />an accident <br />I try to talk to daddy <br />He doesn't listen either <br />He says he loves me and mommy, but he don't care <br />He says him and mommy love me, I know they do <br />It's just they put the world on my shoulder <br />as if to return th favor, me being an accident <br />Mommy's tryna do better, Daddy aint no help to her <br />As she steps up, he steps down <br />But he was never really there <br />It seems as every chance they get they make known, <br />I was an accident <br />They say havin' a baby so young is like hell <br />And I know I'm the bastard that gave them hell <br />I know they love me <br />But they poorly make show of it <br />They do it becuz they care <br />It just seems as if everything else they don't care <br />How I'm doin, How I feel, What I want <br />As long as I dont have sex <br />Cause as I was, they don't needanother accident<br /><br />Brittney Phillips<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/an-accident/
