Those who seek out more than they should get, <br />Are the ones who are left with nothing to miss but more to regret, <br />To realize that you have less than you deserve. <br />Exsits a limit to when the realization is allowed to occur. <br /> <br />Let those who want to give more than receive, <br />Be the ones that do not have to face the irony, <br />The more that you think about it, the more u understand, <br />Your world is a game in a too small amount of land. <br /> <br />But somewhere in a place not far away, <br />Is a place where you have all the answers to say, <br />If you look deep inside, and open your mind <br />The place had never moved out, <br />But you left it behind. <br /> <br />Reach for it and try to grasp it before its too late, <br />Your heart will shut down and close its own gate, <br />Try to find the key to turn the lock, <br />Times running out, so you break the clock. <br />It doesn’t help, the time wont stop, <br />Panicking doesn’t do shit, so it’s the act you choose to drop! <br />The gate is down and out of reach, <br />The life is sucked out of you by a life sucking leech. <br /> <br />The parasite has a name that changes after a while, <br />You may not recognize it for what it is, <br />A number way to familiar for you to dial, <br />It is part of you now, making you feel tired and old, <br />Try to push it away before it makes you angry and cold. <br /> <br />It may be a drug to your addiction, <br />But the love and respect it has for you is nothing but fiction. <br />Outgrowing is the right thing to do, <br />But what if your grown up? <br />Then I guess your screwed.<br /><br />Kelly Sue Davila<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/what-kind-of-addiction-is-your-addiction/
