I sit here all alone tonight <br />Listening to the storm as it arrives <br />The raining pounding on the rooftop <br />And the thunder booming will help me sleep tight tonight <br />As long as the lighting don't crash my dreams <br /> <br />As long as I can hear the rain cause it sounds good <br />Sounds like music to my ears <br />And I just image myself out there dancing in the rain <br />Longing and waiting for the rain to drown the pain <br /> <br />The thunder is getting closer now <br />Its so loud but sounds good <br />The thunder rolls in the clouds covering up the sun <br />Its dark and no light is around only the streetlights <br />The thunder loves to roar like a lion at the zoo <br /> <br />The lighting is bright and it peeks through the windows <br />Making it hard to go to sleep <br />As long as it keeps raining I shall not fear <br />The lighting strikes anything in sight <br /> <br />But as long as it doesn't cut off the lights <br />As long as the rain keeps pouring in on the rooftops <br />As long as thunder keeps roaring I will forever be in peace <br />And forever be in touch with nature <br />As long as it keeps raining and the thunder roars I will sleep well tonight <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />February 17,2008<br /><br />ESPN CHICK<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/as-long-2/
