There is something about the winter <br />That truly warms from outside in <br />I mean the colorful skies that <br />Seem to erase all sadness, all sin <br /> <br />Reds and yellows and oranges <br />Like a famous artist would paint <br />So captivating, I’ll tell you <br />As special as a godly saint <br /> <br />You can see the dark of objects <br />The windmill you love so <br />The trees in semi darkness <br />Stand out as the sunset glows <br /> <br />The old barn way out yonder <br />Sure does look mighty pretty <br />Can you imagine not having sunsets? <br />Oh my, that would be such a pity <br /> <br />So even though it’s cold outside <br />So much beauty you still get <br />There is nothing quite like <br />Those wonderful winter sunsets!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/winter-sunsets/
