A sight of ocean rising in ceaseless waves
against the sky troubled the moon
as she slowly turned around to see me
die everyday just to live longer,
and found me lost everyday
just to find my way home.
You tried to look into my eyes
as though they were some paintings...
to see the beauty, I know not;
to search what's inside
though I know clouds there are not.
And everytime you do, I turn away;
just like a fallen leaf on the ground, I never stayed.
Your tranquilled passion pushed through
you asked me why;
as if for a moment, reasons would surely justify.
But no, dont look into these eyes
or try to search something thereby;
you'd only see the prison I made for myself
after he went away.
I dont want you to be like the troubled moon
that sees me die everyday
just to live a little bit longer;
and that Im lost everyday
just to find my way back home.
No, dont look into my eyes
or even try to search something thereby;
They'll only tell dread stories-
after the day he went away.

Jessel Jane Tevar

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dont-look-into-my-eyes/
