It would be great and I’d love to see it <br />Once in this short lifetime <br />I’d glue onto the cable news <br />Lie on the sofa and kick off my shoes <br />Spread some flowers on the street <br />Talk to strangers on the train <br />And carry a broad grin and peace sign again <br /> <br />The tide is up for America to change <br />For change of change itself to begin <br />A differential calculus wherein <br />Perceptions are unchained from their station <br />Running like kids around the place <br />In the pale and unbelieving face <br />Of a dazed, unraveled nation. <br /> <br />It would be something, quite a joyful ride <br />For a Black-, a KENYAN-American <br />To preside <br />Let all the doves come home to nest <br />The chickens roost in peace.
