I walked beside a bay <br />taking in everything I saw, <br />several small boats <br />nudged at their mooring <br />with every incoming wave. <br />Ducks swam around <br />with their young in tow <br />watched on by some geese <br />who had stopped for a break there. <br />The sun spread a long finger <br />across every wave <br />as they rolled slowly to the shore. <br />As a sense of peace <br />hung over everything <br />on the bay. <br /> <br />11 February 2008<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/on-the-bay-4/
