There lies a space within my heart that shall remain so empty, <br />As sadly now our days are at an end, <br />I know I never shall forget the time we spent together, <br />It is so hard to lose your dearest friend. <br />My words can never say enough or show the way I'm feeling, <br />So deep inside I try to mask the pain, <br />I cannot face tomorrow for the day will be so lonely, <br />For things will never be the same again. <br /> <br />I know you shall be happy when you walk into the sunset, <br />But pity those that you will leave behind, <br />Please don't look back to see my tears i wish that I was stronger, <br />And to all my sorrow I was blind. <br />So spread your wing and fly away above the dark horizon, <br />The wisdom of the stars you shall retain, <br />And as I gaze into the sky for me they shall be weeping, <br />For things will never be the same again. <br /> <br />As now I walk alone with just my shadow from the moonlight, <br />And that can never keep me company, <br />But yet I know where'er you walk an angel shall be with you, <br />And there's no better place that you can be. <br />So live your dreams you dreamed of and do all that you have longed for, <br />Find freedom now across the barren plain, <br />And spend your days in happiness yet you I shall remember, <br />For things will never be the same again.<br /><br />ANDREW BLAKEMORE<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/for-things-will-never-be-same-again/
