The world to us is a disgrace, <br />No hope is there for the human race, <br />People fighting endless wars, <br />Through no reason, to settle scores, <br /> <br />Crime is on the increase, <br />Drugs abuse is a problem now, <br />How do we protect our children, <br />For I fear we don't know how, <br /> <br />Well look at life through a childs eyes, <br />Through there innocence they will cope, , <br />They don't see this world as dangerous, <br />But a place thats full of hope, <br /> <br />They don't look at the colour of skin, <br />When with friends they want to play, <br />They don't comment on religion, <br />Or which way that you should pray, <br /> <br />They are happy to play with anyone, <br />They just want to be friends, <br />Innocence is wonderful I think, <br />It has no need to make amends, <br /> <br />So if we teach them well enough, <br />Maybe they will interact, <br />And come to some agreement, <br />Maybe one day make it fact, <br /> <br />That this world with all its greed and hate, <br />Its bloody battles, wars and lies, <br />Could improve so dramatically, <br />If we looked through a childs eyes<br /><br />sue crocker<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/through-a-childs-eyes/
