Oh give me a poem that mellifluously speaks <br />with loving sounds and heartfelt beats, <br />that just as the refreshing rain, washes away all my stains, <br />wafts me on a gentle air, of music played most fair, <br />carries me to heavens gates, where in peace I simply wait; <br />for death to take me to my waiting fate. <br /> <br />Or if I might be so bold <br />let these words unfold <br />a waking clash of cymbals cold <br />a drum beat in your ear <br />that sets your heart afire <br />with such a great desire <br />to be free from all that's here. <br /> <br />And then again a hush <br />as in silence, its inward rush <br />tells me not to seek <br />more words which hide <br />Your presence in which <br />all this resides.<br /><br />David Taylor<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/two-bridges-and-a-funeral/
