Ashley Morrison - Hiding herself.

2014-11-07 1 Dailymotion

As she sits in the bathroom, with a razor blade to her wrist.
Tears streaming out of her eyes, and she slowy clenches her fist.
She tries to hide the pain inside, but cannot seem to get away.
From anything and anyone, fighting the pain each day.
From her father who made her feel oh so small,
and she felt she had no one, no one to catch her fall.
She felt like she was falling from a tower, slowly on her way to death.
She started abusing alchohol, abusing crystal meth.
She thought taking her own life was the only way out.
She cannot stand the fighting, no one can her cry for help.
Her father would belittle her, call her names, beat her until she finally caught a breath.
The night he beat her so bad, she ran to her only option, her stash of crystal meth.
Why oh why wont anyone help this girl in need,
as she closes her eyes, cuts herself, making herself bleed.
She wants to get better, she wants to accomplish her dream.
But all she hears is her drunken father always scream.
Scream her name to come downstairs, that is her fault he suffers in life.
After those cruel words she sat there with the knife.
she couldnt use the knife, couldnt bring herself to do it.
She started going crazy, screaming, throwing a fit.
She grabbed a rope from the garage and tied it around the shower pole.
She tied the other end around her neck, no one could stop her, show her the light, nor play a role.
She killed herself that very night, october the first.
Her father started on her little sister after, making things only worse.
Her big sister was watching over her, protecting her little sisters dear life.
Making sure that she would never pick up that same knife.
Faith made sure she haunted her father to his grave,
and her younger sister Hope, was the one she had saved.

Ashley Morrison

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/hiding-herself/
