As I breathe the sweet air all around me, <br />And I gaze at the beautiful sky, <br />Far over the valleys and mountains, <br />An eagle is soaring so high. <br /> <br />As I see all the sights of the country, <br />And drink from the rivers and streams, <br />I feel such a strong sense of freedom, <br />For this is the place of my dreams. <br /> <br />As I hear all the wonderful bird songs, <br />That float through the woodland I roam, <br />I gaze at the trees all around me, <br />And know that this place is my own. <br /> <br />As I smell all the scents of the flowers, <br />Their colours so vivid and strong, <br />And knowing wherever I wander, <br />My heart here shall always belong.<br /><br />ANDREW BLAKEMORE<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/as-i-breathe-the-sweet-air/
