We transformed our entire world <br />Went back to historic times <br />Back to where life was different <br />There were many wonderful finds <br /> <br />We dressed the way they used to <br />During the ancient days <br />We tried to act just like they did <br />Capturing their old-fashioned ways <br /> <br />Our heads were dressed up as well <br />Oh, the hats were so much fun <br />Besides some of them are perfect <br />When we’re out in the blazing sun <br /> <br />And I’ll tell you what I loved the most <br />Riding a camel that was extremely tall <br />We held our breath and hung on tight <br />To make sure we didn’t fall <br /> <br />Perhaps you too will spend some time <br />Whether spring or mid September <br />Going way back into history <br />It certainly is a day to remember!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-day-to-remember-6/
