He was lost in the depths of my <br />random thoughts and an unfathomed heart <br />He shall only be a memory; the tryst <br />was unkept and promises in shambles <br /> <br />Be it not a journey to eternity <br />but a mere cause to rekindle <br />the latent spirits of a miserable heart <br />Seeking purity of a friendship <br />resting in my impulsive thoughts <br />Only if I had this friend forever.... <br />who dared speak his heart, not brain <br />Mending my thoughts and rejuvenating from it <br />a passion; a new belief; a sense of life <br />Rescuing me from the sombre mood of solitude <br />and from the hands of soft-spoken and the meretricious multitude <br />into his tempting world of agony and joy <br />As he exhorts and as I exhilarate <br />and as both develop empathy <br />leading each other, facing same music <br />I wish I had this friend forever... <br /> <br />But as your soul dissolved in me, <br />I lost track of you.... <br />in the spilt of a lazy wink of ignorance, <br />I lost your passionate heart throb <br /> <br />In search I've spent an eternity <br />dragged into the hands of a harsh fate <br />as the sight of rivals intimidate me <br />his absence making me vulnerable <br />staining my eyes at the tiniest of defeats, <br />crumbling under the pressure, <br />I curse myself for losing him... <br />Taking every step in the path of destiny, <br />revealing the pin-pricks of harsh realities... <br />The stinkinking hate replaces the scent of tenderness... <br />But making the move on <br />for somewhere he's lost in his own hell <br />two blind friends strech their arms for aid <br />to embrace the needs of a misplaced friendship <br />as I wish-if I had this friend forever..<br /><br />Nithin Pradeep<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-lost-friend-2/
