It feels like a pause <br /> <br />As my life waits for the past to catch up <br /> <br />And the present to fully engage <br /> <br />To inner truths that our souls know <br /> <br />But our mind doesn’t recognise fully <br /> <br /> <br />So at this pause <br /> <br />Where past and present converge <br /> <br />A rich tapestry of feelings <br /> <br />With rays of hope, repose <br /> <br />Waiting for the dam to fill <br /> <br /> <br />And on reaching fullness <br /> <br />Will the floodgates open <br /> <br />Will life, burst forth <br /> <br />Sweeping away the past debris <br /> <br />And finding a new path ahead <br /> <br /> <br />Treasures too it will carry <br /> <br />To the next destination I’m told <br /> <br />But for now <br /> <br />I wait for the pause <br /> <br />To quietly unfold<br /><br />Anita Atina<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/it-feels-like-a-pause/
