i watched them find his vein <br />i couldn't face the change <br />the medicine in that shot <br />all was lost when he fought <br />15 seconds it was over <br />the leaf plucked from the clover <br />the luck i thought i had <br />was gone before i looked back <br />his eyes stayed open, covered by his ears <br />my heart stopped beating, over come by tears <br />its a loss i never want again <br />but a break i'll feel 'till the end <br />and there we were <br />he was just a body, just a coat of fur. <br />there are times when i will fail <br />but what gets me was his wagging tail <br />burned into my mind <br />is when i kissed him for the last time. <br />he made me feel so happy <br />but all i feel now is guilty <br />flashback to him lying there, <br />dead without a care <br />i know he's in a better place <br />but i wish i could see his face <br />all i want now is to pet him <br />but all dogs go to heaven <br />and there he'll get all the love <br />that i have always dreamed of. <br />i love you Bruno: (<br /><br />Desiree Whitamore<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/all-dogs-go-to-heaven/
