Wanderer of the Night <br /> <br />He sets out on his endless journey. <br />Forever, he roams beneath empty skies. <br />Seeking for the light; <br />Eyes observing only black. <br />Nothing in sight. <br /> <br />The night he walks, <br />Never turning back. <br />For he is to continue until he finds the good. <br />Knowing that one day, he would. <br />Must he never give up, <br />For his lust for happiness is too strong, <br />And leaving will just lead to more wrong. <br /> <br />But the pain becomes overwhelming. <br />How must he continue fighting in this war of darkness? <br />No light on the opposing side, <br />He wonders why he even keeps trying. <br />For his eyes are forever full as his heart keeps him crying, <br />And inside he feels weak. <br />All he can do is fall to the ground. <br /> <br />His attention is brought to a sound. <br />He hears something is around ever so close. <br />Those tears he swipes away, <br />And his eyes observe the unbelievable… <br />Before him stands an Angel. <br />She helps him back up to his feet <br />And begins to speak. <br />“ Look beyond the darkness… Not through.” <br />Realizing this truth… <br />He looks past, <br />And at last he sees the light.<br /><br />I Am Who I Am<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/wanderer-of-the-night/
