The blare of the alarm clock signals the new day <br />Jarred back to conscienceness but just barely <br />The sun isn't up yet and the pigeons are still sleeping <br />So why is it that I'm awake? <br /> <br />Oh yeah, it's Monday morning <br />Another week of the daily grind <br />Tempted to stay in bed another hour or two <br />But there are bills to pay, so I get up <br /> <br />Every day has it's 5AM <br />But none like Monday mornings <br />When it arrives you know it <br />The weekend is definitely over <br /> <br />5AM Monday morning is unavoidable <br />A doorway to a world of nine to five <br />Laying there thinking, it could be worse <br />At least I'm not unemployed<br /><br />Harry J.
