The Roses have died, <br />And I am Blue. <br />I think that you're gone, <br />But are we really through? <br /> <br />You took away my breath, <br />Never leaving a Threat. <br />The soft touch of you hand, <br />Held together my hopes like a rubber-band. <br />It was Always you kiss, <br />That I though I'd never have to miss. <br />And still to this day, <br />I wish you had stayed. <br /> <br />The Roses have died, <br />And I am Blue. <br />Memories forgotten, <br />Mistakes unforgiven, <br />Can we make it Through? <br /> <br />It all seems like a mystery, <br />How can we just throw away our History? <br />After all this time, <br />Is none of it worth a dime? <br />Out of all that we shared, <br />You act like you never cared. <br /> <br />The Roses have died, <br />And I am Blue. <br />We go separate ways, <br />Avoiding direct contact. <br />How will we ever make it through? <br /> <br />Every time i pass you by, <br />I'm unable to look you in the eye. <br />I walk away with a tear on my cheek, <br />'Cause now we hardly ever speak. <br />Promises made but unable to keep, <br />And still I lay awake at night unable to sleep. <br /> <br />The Roses have died, <br />And I am Blue. <br />Now that your gone, <br />I guess we're really through. <br /> <br />March 2007<br /><br />Allysyn Bryant<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/roses-have-died/
