(Dear Readers: I know the deadliest cancer…our mother was a martyr who died at an age of less than 40 years after battling for more than 6 years. <br />As God is merciful, he wants to keep our memories green; another close relative is under the deadly grip of cancer; her two young daughters along with us are witnessing the inevitable condemned death of their mother which can occur any moment) <br /> <br /> <br />Fish in the pond <br />Splashing water <br />Through the gills <br />Announcement to the crane <br />To take an easy pick <br /> <br />Cockroach in the corner <br />Whiskers in the fore <br />Foolish gaze on the spilled food <br />Forgetting the rare hind sight <br />Lizard in the rear ready for the easy catch <br /> <br />Bait in the hook <br />Dangling in water <br />Invisible wafer thread <br />Deceiving the eyes <br />Luring the quarry to fix in the trap <br /> <br />Deeds of the past not known <br />Dramas of present mangling the nerves <br />Exploring the cause to escape the grip <br />Caught in the web cornered by the crab <br />Cared by all but catered by none <br /> <br />Sooth saying saints <br />Miracle making monks <br />Obstinate God and Obdurate quacks <br />Swaying all to defeat <br />It is the invincible cancer ever growing <br /> <br />Saving the life beyond repair <br />Diminishing the suffering not their crutch <br />Mockery those titles right <br />Bare truth far ahead <br />Certain death forming the rest <br /> <br />Sleepless dreams dancing in the front <br />Nightmare days trickling away <br />Never say ever again <br />God is the Almighty <br />It’s me only who knows the fight! <br /> <br />9.5.2008<br /><br />rajagopal haran<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/178-never-say-ever-again/
