As I slip into bed the cool sheets comfort me, <br />I close my eyes and relief floods me, <br />Then; <br />The nightmares flood in. <br /> <br />Snap shots consume my mind: <br /> <br />You kissing away my tears, <br />You making me smile, <br />You pushing me on a swing, <br />You picking me up after i fell down, <br />A walk in the park, <br />You comforting me, <br />You and me laughing, <br />You and me holding hands, <br />Your lips on mine, <br />Your hands tangled in my hair, <br />Your mouth tickling my ear, <br />Whispering feverishly into it, <br />Telling me you'll always be there. <br /> <br />Everynight the the nightmares are back, <br />The lies you told, <br />The pain you caused, <br />The heart you took from me but never gave back, <br />The tears you made me shed, <br />Untill I was empty and exhausted. <br /> <br />But I'm tired of the times I have to change the station, <br />Because your song came on, <br />I'm tired of the sleepless nights, <br />A tell tale sign that you weren't really gone, <br />I'm too beat up to take anymore, <br />So, <br />I'm not. <br /> <br />I'm not gonna cry over you anymore, <br />I'm not gonna give you contol, <br />I'm not gonna let anyone <br />Have the power over me you had. <br />I'm gonna start my own story, <br />A whole new beginning, <br />Were I contol how I feel, <br />And no one tries to change me, <br />Mold me into what they want, <br />Trying to make me into their dream, <br />When they know that I'm not. <br /> <br />But somwhere in my book, <br />There might be a boy, <br />One that treats me nice, <br />One that doesn't lie, <br />One that thinks I'm cute, not hot, <br />One that loves me for who I am. <br />I don't know exactly what will happen, <br />But one thing I do know is, <br />I'm not gonna let you win.<br /><br />angel lockheart<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/you-re-my-beloved-worst-nightmare/
