music beats dancing in my head <br />electric pulses move each limb to the beat <br />intoxicating sounds run through my body <br />every movement influenced by musical vibes <br />it takes control of mind body and soul <br />an energy rush far greater than any drug <br />each note overwhelming me more <br />sending me into a state of euphoria and ecstacy <br />the body comes alive to the beats <br />i need not think of movement <br />but let the music overpower me <br />i feel the mind relaxing <br />and the body becomes hyperative <br /> <br />it takes over like a parasite <br />the body cannot tire <br />it fuels my body to keep it going <br />as the tune changes so does my movement <br />rapid jaggered movements to slow flowing movements <br />i now no longer hold any feelings <br />all thoughts driven by the beats <br />now the night ends <br />i gain control <br />i lose the music<br /><br />Ian Humphreys<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/music-takes-over/
