I always have a habit <br />of wearing long sleeves <br />and a coat or jacket <br />never mind the weather. <br />When it is really hot, <br />my coat or jacket stays on. <br />Often I look around and see <br />people looking at me, <br />and then start melting underneath the heat. <br />They keep saying that it’s hot. <br />I, myself feel nice and cool; <br />they can never understand it <br />and say I should be melting too. <br />I just smile and carry on. <br />My normal answer is <br />that I burn easily. <br />Which incidentally I do, <br />but if I wrap up like a mummy <br />I don’t burn at all, <br />in fact I always feel rather cool. <br /> <br />10 May 2008<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-habit/
