Assisted by Anita Atina <br /> <br />No matter how hard I try <br />I'm stuck somewhere between nowhere and goodbye <br />I know I have misplaced a jewel <br />By taking the lead role of the fool <br /> <br />A jester, a clown, in the world’s court <br />Searching for what’s lost, before one can retort <br />A jewel, a thought, a precious moment <br />Lost nowhere, so how could it a praise foment <br /> <br />I stand in a dark sun where stars go to die <br />And long shadows are left to cry <br />I serenade with a crescendo of sobs and sighs <br />A foolhardy attempt to erase all the goodbyes <br /> <br />But where shall we go, after all the goodbyes <br />Shall we go nowhere, into the quiet of cries <br />Where light and shadows stop playing their game <br />And joy and sorrow resolve their blame <br /> <br />Between near insanity and self analysis <br />I expose a weakness of hope paralysis <br />Falling untouched with grave connotations of an abyss <br />A blindly astute observation of eternal bliss <br /> <br />So where is bliss, where does she retreat <br />I’m seeking her out, to surrender at her feet <br />This paralysis, in the hope she may grant <br />A glimpse of that eternal release so scant <br /> <br />Do I have to dig deep into depth unknown <br />And find the courage I have never shown <br />If she’s waiting, lingering at heaven’s door <br />With true vigilance it’s a sign I must not ignore<br /><br />Alfred Ramos<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/somewhere-between-nowhere-and-goodbye/
