A New Life <br /> <br />This new life that you found, <br />at the beginning what was it like? <br />Oh! Mountains, streams, <br />babbling brooks, grass so green, <br />and the trees that grow so silently. <br /> <br />Hush now can’t you hear the wind? <br />As it rushes through your hair, <br />wild as you tumble through your life. <br />Then the here and now become <br />now, not then. <br /> <br />The new life begins, <br />mind opens wide, <br />words come in fast, <br />so fast it’s hard to put them down. <br /> <br />Inside a joy wells up, <br />how I love this life, <br />so free from all anxiety, <br />no chains to lock away, <br />the energy that grows and grows. <br /> <br />First one Step, then another, <br />slowly at first, then growing faster, <br />now I have reached a canter. <br />Words pour from my soul, <br />my mind, and most of all <br />my Heart is full of love <br />for all things beautiful on earth. <br /> <br />Nothing now to stop the flow, <br />it keeps coming forth, <br />there is no stopping it. <br />Memories rush to come, <br />thoughts of the past, <br />and what my life has done, <br />to deserve this new serenity. <br /> <br />27-05-2008<br /><br />Bob Blackwell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-new-life-15/
