I was married to a rich man. <br />I thought my life would be like in heaven. <br />I was living in a house so grand, <br />riding the car with a famous brand, <br />eating the exotic food, <br />spending the money on expensive goods. <br />Materially I seemed to have a good luck. <br />Romantically I was totally bankrupt. <br />Everybody thought he was Mr Right, <br />but in my heart it was a void. <br />My friends thought our marriage was completely blessed. <br />But actually it was full of mess. <br />My neigbours envied my life. <br />But my heart felt like cutting into slices. <br />People in town thought I was a winner, <br />but I knew I was a painful loser. <br /> <br />My husband was a control freak, <br />almost causing me a nervous-break, <br />many nights without sleep, . <br />For psychiatrist consultation I had to seek. <br />He beat me black and blue. <br />Lowering my self-esteem for which I had nothing I could do. <br />Mentally and verbally I was abused, <br />by my husband who had a short fuse. <br />I left him before he took away my last breath, <br />because he was a dangerous psychopath.<br /><br />U Win Kyi<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/love-living-with-abusive-husband/
