My daughter has died, causing my grief
That my baby is dead is beyond belief
Still I try to show the world a smile
While my heart and soul are crying all the while

She was my angel and could do no wrong
I'm missing her so much but try to be strong
Tears are the only way to bear this pain
That whenever I think of her, start falling again

There's nothing worse than having your child die
If you live forever, you'll never figure out why
She was chosen to leave this world behind
Overcome with grief, you're going out of your mind

Now there is darkness where once there was light
There's nothing in this life that could be less right
Than a child dying before a parent
For my little girl I'm writing this lament

Harry J.
