It's not too 'poetic' but it's what I was thinking in my head and as much as some sanctimonious, impractical writers would pretend, I don't think in poems <br /> <br />Teeth pull the words back; <br />I've just bit my tongue! <br />That means I'm using a measure of tact. <br />A minute ago, I KNEW had you, stutter and sigh; <br />we were edging around fun. <br />And I was thinking, wow, <br />Won't you be mine? <br />And now, <br />your hand is warm, calloused fact. <br />Such an unpredictable, calm guy. <br />Eventually I'll be all yours.<br /><br />Delilah Miller<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/eventually-always-is/
