The empty harbor's waters glitter <br />like so many diamonds, <br />her fishing boats dot the horizon <br />of the open sea beyond. <br />Summer skies above the cliffs <br />teem with birds <br />hang gliding in the air currents; <br />it is a place where one can breathe. <br />Breathing fresh ocean air <br />without a care in the world, <br />we are thirsting valley children <br />teased into returning <br />by these seagulls and sea breezes <br />to find peace for our yearning souls. <br />Here we can bask; relax <br />in a little piece of paradise, <br />drink our Merlot, <br />and taste the good life.<br /><br />Carolyn Brunelle<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/california-coast/
