Time flies with the wings of white <br />very weightless light feathers. <br />They surround us and cool us at times <br />all while flapping furiously to <br />destinations unknown to us <br />somewhat delicate creatures. <br /> <br />Time waits for no one just as one <br />never sees a bird in flight stop... <br />without dropping because of death... <br />or on account of a obstacle that <br />spans in its way halting its trip swiftly... <br />making it crash to the ground below. <br /> <br />If time could be paused and I could change <br />the wings of time...I would direct the bird to <br />flit softly to the ground...or onto silent purple ponds <br />...and turbulent deep black seas would cease to be. <br />If only I could turn back the wings of time... <br /> <br />Written June 23 2008<br /><br />Shelley L Baxter<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-light-white-wings-of-time-2/
