She feigned surprise, when first he saw her ghost
Though all along, her instinct told her so.
This man above all others, knew her most
They’d share the visions others could not know
With recognition in his eyes, he turned
And waterfalls of pity left his face
“This child should seek the passage he has earned.
Release him; I am here to take his place.
Together we will waltz through Limbo’s halls
Evaporating time that’s laid aside.”
She hissed, then bagatelled against the walls
And borrowed grins, from demons deep inside.

“Replace the child? You shan’t, but join instead.
We three, you’ll see will be a long time dead.”

Danny Reynolds

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/003-2-co-3-s-a-shroud/
