It was just as good a day as any <br />I suppose <br />To walk into the ward toilet <br />And discover <br />A newborn half drowned <br />In a flush tank <br /> <br />Yes, <br />I suppose it was just as good a day as any <br />To see humanity trickle out <br />An unclamped cord while life feebly yelped <br />And gurgled in fetid water <br /> <br />Wasn’t it <br />As good a day as any <br />Just an ordinary day <br />Just an ordinary abandonment <br />Of an ordinary blip <br />In natures chromosome <br />Programmed to self destruct upon recognition. <br /> <br />It was, beyond doubt <br />As good a day as any <br />To see the parade where <br />All things soft and gentle <br />Innocent and pure <br />Baby-like and neonatal <br />Walked Lady Macbeth-like <br />Macabre and demented <br />In their obsessive single-minded desire <br />To live. <br />Whilst all the while <br />All things maternal and humane <br />Groped and grabbed <br />Tore flesh and limb <br />Bit off and chewed upon <br />That which <br />Under the umbrella of sanity <br />They had once been programmed <br />To protect.<br /><br />wardha jawdat<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/just-another-day-in-paradise/
