... ... ...IN MY MIND <br /> <br />What good is served by thought tonight, <br />there is no way with words to write, <br />the vague uncertain feelings, <br />in my Mind. <br /> <br />Strange shadows dance in clouds of grey, <br />I cannot see or find my way, <br />to formless shapes that beckon, <br />in my Mind. <br /> <br />My probing thoughts cannot explain, <br />the absence of expected pain, <br />yet shapeless forms continue, <br />in my Mind. <br /> <br />Tantalizing feelings rise, <br />dimming thoughts that might be wise, <br />I see your lips before me, <br />in my MIND. <br /> <br />Soft swirling mist encircles you, <br />a lovely vision still in view, <br />your outstretched hand is reaching, <br />in my MIND. <br /> <br />Though running at a fearful pace, <br />I am yet standing still in space, <br />surrounded by the shadows, <br />in my Mind. <br /> <br />Each time I reach and almost touch, <br />the gentle hand I love so much, <br />shifting clouds obscure the view, <br />in my Mind. <br /> <br />There is for me a message there, <br />of unknown value, so I stare <br />at foreboding forms and shapes, <br />in my Mind. <br /> <br />I feel your love becoming free, <br />and struggling ‘thru the clouds I see <br />your arms outstretched to greet me, <br />in my Mind. <br /> <br />And yet each time your lips brush mine, <br />tormented clouds replace the wine, <br />of promised love between us, <br />in my Mind. <br /> <br />Thus even in my Mind it seems, <br />there is no way to fulfill dreams <br />that I have chased forever … <br />in my LIFE! <br /> <br />~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ <br />Rhey W.
