The fragments of a broken mug <br />The glint of a knife <br />The peices of her broken dreams <br />The terror of her life <br /> <br />The bruises no one ever sees <br />From punches, hits and kicks <br />No one ever thought <br />That she'd end up like this <br /> <br />A few years ago she was bubbly <br />Popular and fun <br />But now all she knows how to do <br />Is scream, hide and run <br /> <br />A life pulled to pieces <br />A person scared in pain <br />Because her partner treats her bad <br />And she is far to tame <br /> <br />She can't escape his anger <br />For that only brings on more <br />She has to stay, she's trapped <br />Can't just walk out the door <br /> <br />If only others knew <br />What she goes through every day <br />Then she wouldn't have to suffer <br />And he'd just go away <br /> <br />How many others are there like her <br />Behind closed doors <br />Maybe we should find out <br />And help them pick their <br />lives up off the floor<br /><br />carli neave<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/broken-life-2/
