Sitting here watching the storm clouds roll by, <br />Gazing at the midnight-celestial heaven, hoping…wishing, <br />That you, though many miles and light-years away, <br />Are spying on the same falling star, <br />Watching it glisten and shimmer in the midnight sky. <br /> <br />This separation has wilted this heart of mine, <br />The one that was warmed by your every touch, <br />My heart that you have taken from my own possession, <br />A love I no longer have to give, <br />Wilted…with no healing in endless time. <br /> <br />All I’ve got left to this love that once flourished, <br />Are not the pictures of our life, <br />Not the songs that we whispered at night, <br />Nor the smell of your skin or the taste of your kiss, <br />But rather, every minute filled with memories….cherished <br /> <br />Forever. <br /> <br /> <br />written July 18th,2008<br /><br />Baby Blue<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-red-rose-wilted-heart/
