My father forces me to write a poem <br />My mother threatens me with a knife <br />My sister says if I don’t write one <br />She will take my life <br />Whenever I throw a tantrum <br />My father says write about that <br />And whenever I win a prize or something <br />My mother says write about that <br />Wherever I look people say, <br />“Write a poem otherwise <br />Just know that you are in for an <br />Unpleasant surprise”. <br />My friends say write a poem on leaves, <br />Or my teachers, my pet, my computer <br />If people didn’t always ask me to write poems <br />My life would be much better <br />I just wrote a poem recently <br />And I think I will just relax and look at the rain <br />I hear my mother calling me <br />Uh-oh!
