Coffee and orange juice left me with a zany feeling <br />as the dawn rose up like a butterfly <br />bursting its way out of its cocoon. <br />The globe ascended on the horizon...and <br />all stars withered from the sky on the island of Lanai. <br />Mesmerized by the view and the drone of the radio, <br />I clumsily knocked over my teacup of blueberry's <br />onto my plain muesli, which was now covered <br />with many different sizes and hues of blue...and <br />suddenly...my next oil painting titled... <br />'Breakfast on the Lanai ' materialized in my head... <br />after just moments earlier feeling bogged <br />down by tired artiscally deprived thoughts. <br /> <br />Written July 25 2008.<br /><br />Shelley L Baxter<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/sweet-inspiration-3/
