Last night I walked through the land of lost souls <br />I walked among demons and devils and ghouls <br />Searching for a loved one, for she to was lost <br />I was determined to find her at any cost <br /> <br />Even if I must stay in this valley of death <br />In a place where the wicked breathe their last breath <br />A place where the devil alone reigns <br />With an army of evil inflicting pains <br /> <br />I began at dusk with the dropping daylight <br />And found her at midnight shaking with fright <br />For the devil him self had got hold of her soul <br />She sat in a ring of fire shivering with cold <br /> <br />She screamed out in pain as I shouted her name <br />I drew ever nearer as Satan played his evil game <br />Not so fast shouted the devil and placed himself in my path <br />Let her go, said I, or deal with my wrath <br /> <br />Tell me why, said he, she is a sinner like you <br />Move aside son or I will capture you too <br />Then take me, said I, for I shan’t live without her <br />For love has blinded me, made me stronger and braver <br /> <br />I had entered a battle of evil with a weapon of love <br />And as god is my witness in the heavens above <br />I will not back down and am determined to win <br />For love conquers all and forgives any sin <br /> <br />Then loves blinding light shot rays at his chest <br />And the devil himself was finally laid to rest <br />I wrapped my arms around my angel and stood up tall <br />For he who makes the devil fall is proudest of all<br /><br />Joey Mann<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/love-conquers-all-2/
