Dancing on the streets at night <br />The stars as her audience <br />Her arm reaches out in perfect alignment <br />Where magic falls from her fingertips <br />The wind wraps around her waist <br />As she twirls onto her toes <br />Moving as one with the trees <br />Their leaves that flow recklessly <br />The old souls that live within the bark <br />Are taken aback with awe <br />The moon sheds a glittering tear <br />Being in the presence of true beauty <br />The young girl moves like shes never known lies <br />She dances for the honesty and truth in life <br />Capturing the hearts of a couple that walks by <br />She will never be caught, though the day attempts <br />It is out to destroy the girl so pure <br />But the night is a blanket of a love that is real <br />Daytime dirt turns to nighttime dust <br />This soon turns to magic when the wind picks it up <br />The stardust carries around her legs <br />Up to her arms, shoulders and face <br />The grass below her feet is green and lush <br />Becoming apart of the world she made <br />Most of us dream to be part of nature’s beauty <br />But this tiny dancer has got natures tears <br />She is our mother earth in body form <br />A little ballerina and to be considered nothing more<br /><br />Leah Ayliffe<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/little-ballerina/
