A newborn baby’s eyes <br />amazes the mother’s eyes <br /> <br />What a spider web captures <br />all in a buzz <br />or stealthily seep by seep <br />from the weeping darkness <br />creeping away from the sun’s <br />intrusion of arrow-tip rays, <br /> <br />Enslaving in its silky threads <br />a dewy jewel in wetted bed <br />so virgin and milkfree <br />clinging precariously, <br /> <br />Its wetness momentarily <br />stalled on its journey to mother sea <br />beyond the hub of the web’s <br />radiating hints of galactic loci. <br /> <br />Gravity tugging the silks, <br />challenging the web’s right to seize <br />and tease in captivity <br />this jewel in a mother’s eye <br /> <br />As quick as the click of a camera <br />this collected sea <br />tides into a flooding wall, <br />cascading, <br />falling free. <br /> <br />Published by Story Teller Magazine in April/May/June 08 issue.<br /><br />Ben Gieske<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dew-drops-in-a-spider-web/
